Almanor Fishing Association Mission Statement 

The Mission of the Almanor Fishing Association (AFA) is to promote a thriving fishery, advocate for a sustainable and healthy lake and work with state and local partners to benefit the community at large.

  • To help further the education of our local students.
  • To proudly support our business community and sponsors.
  • To value all efforts to protect, preserve and sustain Lake Almanor.

Lake Almanor is located on the northeast border of Plumas County at a 4,500 feet elevation. Having fifty-two miles of forested shoreline, Lake Almanor is the county's largest lake, offering year-round fishing and spectacular views of majestic Lassen Peak.
